Júlio Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Araçatubense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Matheus Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Edmundo Fernandes, making the score, 1-0. Araçatubense's Edmundo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Novaes in the 42nd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guto Novaes was the one to do the kick off. Edmundo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Guto Novaes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Araçatubense's Edmundo Fernandes. Edmundo Fernandes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maurício Tinoco's late challenge caught a Adrianopolis EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurício Tinoco helped the player get up and apologised. Maurício Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Guto Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Fernandes having to interfere. Guto Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Paulista in the 82nd minute of play forced Araçatubense's goalkeeper Edmundo Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
