The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Britto during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Aníbal Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Porto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Yan da Fonseca skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Angelo Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Iracemopolis SC's Yan da Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donatello Vinhas in the 19th minute of play. If Aníbal Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Ramón Porto came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Gesteira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Porto couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Gesteira SC's zone, Fabrício Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Cardoso came out of the goal and Fabrício Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Osvaldo Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Iracemopolis SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Salgado couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Dracena's late challenge caught a Gesteira SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th match minute, Iracemopolis SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Yan da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Passos in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Aníbal Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luiz Paulo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Soares in the 49th minute of the match.

Ramón Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan da Fonseca having to interfere. Ramón Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Yan da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Passos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan da Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Gesteira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Soares to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gesteira SC's Genílson Barros got a free kick in the 78th minute. Donatello Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ramón Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yan da Fonseca having to make a save. Angelo Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yan da Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. Nestor Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Yan da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
