Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bernardo Marquez got the match started through his kick off. Egídio Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Miranda in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean Cerezo in the 6th minute of play forced Flora's goalkeeper Egídio Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Garcia having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Flora's zone, Jean Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egídio Carioca came out of the goal and Jean Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Bernardo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jean Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Oswaldo Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Marquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Oswaldo Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Eureca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Miranda couldn't finish the play. 30 minutes into the game, one of Flora:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Eureca. Claudinei Dante stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Egídio Carioca. 0-1. In the 37th minute, Oswaldo Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Arlindo Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flora's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eureca the free kick. Egídio Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Miranda in the 41st minute of the match. Egídio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After the first half Eureca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Cerezo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eureca's Sílvio Luís Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Marquez in the 51st minute of play. Egídio Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Oséias Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egídio Carioca having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eureca's zone, Juvenal de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Garcia came out of the goal and Juvenal de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Flora got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal de Azevedo. In the 70th minute of the match Claudinei Dante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Egídio Carioca skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Flora getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Juvenal de Azevedo hit a great ball. Oséias Sá's late challenge caught a Flora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oséias Sá helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Oséias Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardo Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Sílvio Luís Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Eureca's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Marquez came free, but Sílvio Luís Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Jean Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséias Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Egídio Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Marquez scored 1-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luís Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
