Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Agnaldo Meirelles started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Percival Damião was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Josefina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chamengo the free kick. Percival Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Rui Vidal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Faustão Melo made a precise shot to the right of Lauro Carvalho. Josefina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Chamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Netto to maneuver through the defense. Murilo Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Cardozo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 32nd playminute. Edgard Cardozo got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Lauro Carvalho handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 39 minutes of play, Josefina's Tiago França made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murilo Vianna was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Chamengo defense, Agnaldo Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Murilo Vianna. The Chamengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Murilo Vianna should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustão Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlinhos Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Edgard Cardozo might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauro Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Cardozo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Faustão Melo got free in front of the goal in the 54th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Lauro Carvalho was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Tiago França managed to get in a good position for a shot. Josefina's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago França was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Vianna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 played minutes Chamengo got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Romero. Chamengo's Faustão Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agnaldo Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Murilo Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a little luck, Chamengo's Murilo Vianna got control of the ball when Tiago França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiago França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Murilo Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
