André Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Horácio Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gino da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Raí Montenegro sped through Taiacui's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valdo Batista. Valdo Batista didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Netto went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 34 minutes, Dino Bertassi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 21 Pilots and the Taiacui players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Taiacui booed when 21 Pilots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Raí Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. 21 Pilots's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raí Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gino da Mata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 67 minutes into the game, André Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 21 Pilots's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taiacui the free kick. A collision led to 21 Pilots getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. André Prestes hit a great ball. Valdo Batista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raí Montenegro in the 71st minute. In the 75th minute Leonel Paraibano suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. André Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Valdo Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Bertassi in the 79th minute of play. João Carlos Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
