When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramón Veiga made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Eliézer Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canastrao SS's José Pedro Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Canastrao SS from getting a goal against them. After 66 minutes, Ezequiel Quadros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canastrao SS and the Currupacopapaco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giuseppe Amaral made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 68thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but José Pedro Novaes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Lúcio Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Montenegro in the 75th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adelino Pimenta during the 76th minute.
