The audience was convinced that Carlos Fernando Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donato Xavier was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Natanael Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Xavier having to interfere. Donato Xavier stood somewhat misplaced when Carlos Fernando Cruz came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 70 minute. Wellington Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 78 minutes of play, Caldeira SS's Carlos Fernando Cruz made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donato Xavier was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Caldeira SS booed when Jaquary AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Léo Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Fernando Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caldeira SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
