Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Fabiano Garcia started the match with the kick off. Cauan Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Fernandez in the 9th minute of play. When Mané Silva came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the SáioG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Silva couldn't finish the play. Matariz's Cauan Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Silva in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Adolfo Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Garrett Pritchett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Raphael Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Zé Carlos Toledo could shoot a difficult shot in the 22nd minute, which Raphael Senna however easily saved by the left post. Raphael Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Garcia in the 23rd minute of the match. When Márcio Mineiro fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matariz's protests and gave Márcio Mineiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, SáioG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Silva to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 39 minutes, Mané Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SáioG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Garrett Pritchett kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Cauan Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Raphael Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cauan Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Nascimento in the 57th minute of the match. Natanael Arce hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Adolfo Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the SáioG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Fernandez couldn't finish the play. Belmiro Rosa charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Rosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Matariz got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Vander. In the 80th minute Belmiro Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Matariz booed when SáioG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sandro Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SáioG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Márcio Mineiro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Matariz's zone, Sandro Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cauan Machado came out of the goal and Sandro Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matariz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
