The coaching staff of Chile protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Afonsinho Munhoz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Chile:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Goiatuba FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Goiatuba FC's Lino Fantini got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vítor Valadares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincenty Kapelski in the 68th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Vítor Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vítor Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Luan Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luan Schmidt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Décio Novaes scored 5-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Valadares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Valadares came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Goiatuba FC's Wincenty Kapelski. But to his dismay, Wincenty Kapelski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. The supporters of Goiatuba FC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincenty Kapelski, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the referee ended the match the Goiatuba FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
