Wincenty Kapelski scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carlos Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wincenty Kapelski's late challenge caught a Horacio AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wincenty Kapelski helped the player get up and apologised. Wincenty Kapelski kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Lenílson Jacinto was a little too slow when Robinho Tavares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Wincenty Kapelski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Basílio Arce came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Goiatuba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Arce couldn't finish the play. Wincenty Kapelski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Pitta having to interfere. Magno de Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Wincenty Kapelski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio da Mata in the 27th minute of play. When Basílio Arce came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Goiatuba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Arce couldn't finish the play. In the 30thth minute of the game Wincenty Kapelski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horacio AD's João Carlos Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rony Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Décio Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wincenty Kapelski to make the kick off. When Wincenty Kapelski came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Goiatuba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincenty Kapelski couldn't finish the play. Wincenty Kapelski in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Carlos Pitta, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Magno de Queiroz's late challenge caught a Goiatuba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Wincenty Kapelski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Wincenty Kapelski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wincenty Kapelski came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Carlos Pitta could save by the left post. Goiatuba FC's Basílio Arce got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Carlos Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Kapelski in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Wincenty Kapelski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Carlos Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Décio Novaes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Goiatuba FC's Wincenty Kapelski got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wincenty Kapelski got free with João Carlos Pitta in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Goiatuba FC's Wesley Pernambucano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 94th minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Carlos Pitta but with some difficulty. João Carlos Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Kapelski in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Goiatuba FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Horacio AD.
