To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 38 minutes into the match, Jean Corrêa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Europa SS's Geovani Rezende. Geovani Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elói Goiano during the 41st minute. In the 58th minute, Jean Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Patrício Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iguatemi SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrício Messias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
