Anselmo de Castro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Dida Toscano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Borussia Vasco Starks's Renan Dracena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cássio Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Renan Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cássio Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Toscano struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Cássio Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Vasco Starks. After a rather tough play, Iguatemi SS's Patrick Madureira got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Guto Prado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio Negri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Toscano in the 46th minute of play forced Iguatemi SS's goalkeeper Cássio Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
