Borussia Vasco Starks's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 25th minute Renan Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Renan Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Vasco Starks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Renan Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Borussia Vasco Starks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Dracena couldn't finish the play. Geovani Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafim Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serafim Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Borussia Vasco Starks getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dida Toscano was the one to do the kick off. Dida Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Serafim Lopes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. In the 60th match minute, Borussia Vasco Starks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Lopes to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play, Borussia Vasco Starks's Márcio Alcântara made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovani Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute, Renan Dracena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If João Vítor Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Europa SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renan Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Ahmet Hamdi Seylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Borussia Vasco Starks fans cheered their team off the field, for while Europa SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
