Zé Paulo Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredão Brodel having to make a save. João Vítor Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Alfredão Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dieguinho Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Vítor Vianna was the one to do the kick off. Nando Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léo Cabral in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nando Catarinense saved Jouquarinha AD from getting behind. Nando Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Cabral in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jouquarinha AD's zone, Dieguinho Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Catarinense came out of the goal and Dieguinho Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Léo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dieguinho Gomes succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Alfredão Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jouquarinha AD. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jouquarinha AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Matai.
