Sydney Campidelis charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Campidelis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zezito AD's Sydney Campidelis got a free kick in the 4th minute. Washington Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Abraão in the 15th minute of the match. Artur Couto took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Washington Barral. Washington Barral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Artur Couto made a precise shot to the right of Washington Barral. Zezito AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 25th match minute, Brodosqui SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Koehler to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar da Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Erivaldo dos Santos made a huge save. Sydney Campidelis was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 41st minute, Sydney Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Eduardo Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Lúcio Arósio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half Brodosqui SC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gernando Abraão was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Gernando Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brodosqui SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Abraão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Washington Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Brodosqui SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Cunha was slow to take the kick. During this time Zezito AD's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Adhemar da Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erivaldo dos Santos was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When Gernando Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Brodosqui SC fans jumped to their feet. Erivaldo dos Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brodosqui SC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
