When Ulysses Arce came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Tiros EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulysses Arce couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Tiros EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Pirani to maneuver through the defense. After 26 played minutes Tiros EC got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Ribeiro. Válbson Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Joaquim Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernandinho Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that João Paulo Secco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caetano da Costa was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. A collision led to Tiros EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Humberto Pirani hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Glyceria's Célio Zonta got a free kick in the 71st minute.
