The audience was convinced that Túlio Vinhas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Valladares was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 52ndth minute of the game Juan Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canhotinho's Dé Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Túlio Vinhas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Zé Carlos Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Mariom EC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jorginho Negri hit a great ball. Dé Valladares made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Juan Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Canhotinho's protests and gave Marcus Neiva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Marcus Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renatinho Pena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Leal having to make a save. Abelardo Mello's late challenge caught a Mariom EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abelardo Mello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mariom EC booed when Canhotinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Vinhas in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Valladares saved Canhotinho from getting behind. 95 minutes in the game, Juan Gaspar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dé Valladares having to interfere. Canhotinho walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
