Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cássio Marques kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merity SS's zone, Cássio Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Carvalho came out of the goal and Cássio Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Puei EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Pereira came free, but Filipe Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Pereira in the 8th minute of play forced Puei EC's goalkeeper Filipe Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Puei EC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Gerber. Filipe Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalmo Miranda in the 12th minute of the match. Nildo Tasso struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Aníbal Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puei EC. Róbson Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aníbal Carvalho having to make a save. Josué Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Carvalho having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Gugu Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cássio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Nildo Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Marques had several of the Merity SS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 26 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Aníbal Carvalho as he didn't even see the shot coming. Carlos Alberto Mazza scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Leme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cláudio Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aníbal Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cássio Marques in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aníbal Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Adalmo Miranda notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Puei EC's Filipe Leme. Filipe Leme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Puei EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merity SS were winning 1-2.

Filipe Leme was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristian Negri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. In the 59th minute Adalmo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Carlos Alberto Mazza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aníbal Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Marques in the 63rd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Nildo Tasso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Aníbal Carvalho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Puei EC's goalkeeper Filipe Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Negri. If Cláudio Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Puei EC! 79 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Filipe Leme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 87th minute Adalmo Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aníbal Carvalho having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, José Vítor Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Merity SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puei EC the free kick. The supporters of Puei EC booed when Merity SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Vítor Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Merity SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Merity SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
