Silas Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Macauari's Vicente Barros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lajeiro. Mauro da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute Cássio de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Cássio de Senna put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Abel Pinheiro. Cássio de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Abel Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio de Senna in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macauari's goalkeeper Abel Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geraldo Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lajeiro's Ismael Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Tavares in the 31st minute of play. When Macauari's Mauro da Mata in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lajeiro's goalie prevented a goal. Geraldo Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonsinho Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ismael Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Tavares in the 36th minute of the match. If Geraldo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Soeiro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Macauari's Mauro da Mata. But to his dismay, Mauro da Mata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro da Mata in the 44th minute of play forced Lajeiro's goalkeeper Ismael Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

55 minutes in the game, Mauro da Mata fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ismael Soeiro having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Umberto Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Macauari defense, Geraldo Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Pinheiro. The Macauari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Mauro da Mata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ismael Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. If Geraldo Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lajeiro getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Umberto Barros hit a great ball. Mauro da Mata who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Ismael Soeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ismael Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Tavares in the 81st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lajeiro's zone, Geraldo Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Soeiro came out of the goal and Geraldo Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Geraldo Tavares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lajeiro's Ismael Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ismael Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro da Mata in the 92nd minute. Durvalino do Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ismael Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macauari. If Geraldo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lajeiro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
