When Álvaro Dias came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Macauari fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Álvaro Dias couldn't finish the play. Dráuzio Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro da Mata in the 20th minute of play. Dráuzio Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dráuzio Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Abel Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Neiva in the 41st minute of the match. After 63 minutes, Sidney Neiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carualina and the Macauari players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carualina getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sidney Neiva hit a great ball. Macauari's Abel Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico de Amaral in the 71st minute of play. Carualina's Sidney Neiva got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Sidney Neiva off the ground. The supporters of Macauari booed when Carualina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Fernandes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Geraldo Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Mauro da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
