Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Doriva Prado got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Arrepol SC booed when Atlético Gaúcho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jeferson Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Gaúcho's Mauro Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcinho Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sabino Santana's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After 19 minutes, Dráuzio Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrepol SC and the Atlético Gaúcho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Dráuzio Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcinho Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabino Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arrepol SC's Marcinho Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Santana in the 37th minute of play. Sabino Santana took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcinho Varela. Marcinho Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Sabino Santana came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Atlético Gaúcho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabino Santana couldn't finish the play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sabino Santana made a kick off. A collision led to Atlético Gaúcho getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. César Barreto hit a great ball. Jeferson Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doriva Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Eusébio Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sabino Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Marcinho Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Gaúcho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Atlético Gaúcho's goal looked a bit too open when Lenílson Camargo came free, but Jeferson Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Moreno in the 96th minute.
