Matías do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Elias Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Posses SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Paulista couldn't finish the play. Elias Paulista's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Marcinho Varela skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Matías do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenílson Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Marcinho Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Gaspar in the 28th minute of the match. Arrepol SC's Lenílson Camargo got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durvalino Gaspar in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcinho Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd match minute, Arrepol SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. Posses SS's Durvalino Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durvalino Gaspar to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Arrepol SC defense, Durvalino Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcinho Varela. The Arrepol SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcinho Varela should have stopped the shot. Elias Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcinho Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Marcinho Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durvalino Gaspar in the 67th minute of the match. Marcinho Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Durvalino Gaspar went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Elias Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Posses SS's zone, Lenílson Camargo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías do Vale came out of the goal and Lenílson Camargo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Pedro Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute of the match Erik Leal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Varela skillfully saved the ball. Durvalino Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Varela having to interfere. Arrepol SC's Marcinho Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Paulista in the 97th minute of play.
