Hamílton Coutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurício Correia got free with Hamílton Coutinho in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamon Sarkhoh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hamílton Coutinho. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Bonetes were furious when Alfredinho Carioca was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Bonetes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pousos AD:s goal. When the match had been going on for 28 minutes, Pousos AD's Manolo da Mata got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hamílton Coutinho. In the 33rd minute, Maurício Correia made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Coutinho. Bonetes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a rather tough play, Bonetes's Chico Nogueira got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. Hamílton Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Paulista in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Coutinho saved Bonetes from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Massa in the 55th minute of play forced Bonetes's goalkeeper Hamílton Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamílton Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Massa in the 60th minute of play. Chiquinho Quintal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Abreu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Abreu made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Washington Valadares sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Bonetes getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Washington Valadares hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Bonetes's Chiquinho Quintal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Abreu. That made the score 5-1 after 77 minutes of play. In the 81st minute, Maurício Correia made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Coutinho. Bonetes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. A collision led to Bonetes getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Danilo Braga hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Bonetes's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Correia came free, but Hamílton Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Bonetes's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Vergílio came free, but Hamílton Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonetes's Hamílton Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Correia in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pousos AD had played much better football throughout.
