Cícero Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Abreu having to interfere. Ismael Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cássio Massa came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Pousos AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio Massa couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute of the match, Ciro Machado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Daniel Abreu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Massa in the 33rd minute of play forced Metancia AD's goalkeeper Ismael Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Massa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Maurício Correia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ismael Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 39 minutes into the game, Pousos AD's Cássio Massa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ismael Penha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, Pousos AD's goalkeeper Daniel Abreu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Machado. In the 44th match minute, Pousos AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Barros to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maurício Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Cássio Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Maurício Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Penha having to interfere. Ismael Penha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurício Correia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 59 minute of play. Pousos AD's Manolo da Mata suffered a concussion after 62 minutes and had to leave the field. After 63 played minutes Metancia AD got a freekick which was hit by César Reis. Maurício Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ismael Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Penha had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Maurício Correia from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ismael Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Correia in the 77th minute. Maurício Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Penha having to interfere. César Reis hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Pousos AD got a freekick which was hit by Dedê do Nascimento. After a rather tough play, Metancia AD's César Reis got a free kick in the 91st minute. Maurício Correia in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ismael Penha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 96 minutes into the game, Metancia AD's Erik Netto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Metancia AD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pousos AD's performance. The match ended with a win for Pousos AD.
