With a little luck, Bonetes's Hamílton Coutinho got control of the ball when Ciro Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 minutes, Durval Faustino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bonetes and the Metancia AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Bonetes got a freekick which was hit by Durval Faustino. 15 minutes into the game, Ciro Machado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hamílton Coutinho. Ciro Machado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Machado got free with Hamílton Coutinho in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bonetes's Hamílton Coutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Bonetes from getting a goal against them. Ismael Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Quintal in the 31st minute of the match. Dráusio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ismael Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Bonetes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Júnior Cosme got in the 38th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Hamílton Coutinho. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-0. Ciro Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Coutinho having to interfere. Danilo Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ismael Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Chiquinho Quintal made the kick off in the second half. If Durval Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Nogueira was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. When Metancia AD's César Reis in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bonetes's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the match, Bonetes's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Netto came free, but Hamílton Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonetes's Hamílton Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Reis in the 89th minute of play.
