Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alessio Prisco made the kick off and thus started the match. Hortêncio Urbano hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Aluísio Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Filipe de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Luverdence E.C.'s Hamílton Luz got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience cheered when Agostinho Macedo's long shot passed Rob Dohnanyi's right side. It was 1-1, 16 minutes into the match. Hamílton Luz lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Luverdence E.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! 23 minutes into the game, Thiago Galvão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Luverdence E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cateto the free kick. After 23 played minutes Luverdence E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Thiago Galvão. When Hortêncio Urbano fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cateto's protests and gave Hortêncio Urbano a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caco Tavares in the 30th minute of play forced Luverdence E.C.'s goalkeeper Rob Dohnanyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cateto booed when Luverdence E.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Luverdence E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Caco Tavares came free, but Rob Dohnanyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Luverdence E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nilson de Carvalho. Luverdence E.C.'s Rob Dohnanyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Tavares in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Luverdence E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fernando da Costa came free, but Rob Dohnanyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, one of Luverdence E.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Luverdence E.C.. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caco Tavares made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Alessio Prisco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe de Amorim was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 59th match minute, Cateto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando da Costa to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando da Costa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rob Dohnanyi. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Alessio Prisco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luverdence E.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alessio Prisco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe de Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Rob Dohnanyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando da Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rob Dohnanyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Tande in the 79th minute of play. After 85 minutes, Egídio Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cateto and the Luverdence E.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Fernando da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rob Dohnanyi made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Fernando da Costa sent off a good shot on target. Luverdence E.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 99th minute, when Egídio Nóbrega scored to the left of an out of position Rob Dohnanyi, making the score, 1-5. Cateto's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
