An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Guimarães in the 8th minute of play forced Aratingauba FC's goalkeeper Rogério do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rogério do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogério do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diogo FC's Nestor Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Régis Vander made a precise shot to the right of Tarcisio Figueiredo. Diogo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Cacá Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Aratingauba FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
