Cacá Saraiva hit a great ball. If Felipe Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Pinheiro in the 9th minute of play forced Pontinhas EC's goalkeeper Robinho Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Enio Tande sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Porto skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute, Ernesto Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanni Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Guto Pinheiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robinho Moreira. Guto Pinheiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Jairo Silva hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Geovanni Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes, Gláuber Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sibato FC and the Pontinhas EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sibato FC's Gláuber Lopes got a free kick in the 40th minute. Pontinhas EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Tibúrcio Freire 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráuzio Massa to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Gilmar Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robinho Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felipe Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pontinhas EC's Dráuzio Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pontinhas EC defense, Guto Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robinho Moreira. The Pontinhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robinho Moreira should have stopped the shot. Guto Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Moreira having to interfere. Sibato FC's Acácio Moreira was substituted for José Vítor Queirós. After a rather tough play, Pontinhas EC's Gilmar Britto got a free kick in the 84th minute. Sibato FC's Tibúrcio Freire quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gilmar Britto, made in the 90th minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, Sibato FC's Guto Pinheiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robinho Moreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Meirelles kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sibato FC had played much better football throughout.
