After 9 minutes of play, Quixabinha SC's Breno Amaral made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Gustavo Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 12 minutes into the match, Edmundo Furtado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juarês Nóbrega. Quixabinha SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmundo Furtado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Charles Marinho scored 1-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Gustavo Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Edmundo Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Nilmar Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Charles Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breno Amaral in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Gustavo Dantas saved Etanois FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilmar Meira during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Etanois FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nilmar Meira hit a great ball. Breno Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Charles Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quixabinha SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charles Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Etanois FC's Luís Gustavo Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Amaral in the 45th minute of play. Cauan França kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 49th minute of the match Quixabinha SC got a corner. Etanois FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chicão Antunes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Charles Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Charles Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Chicão Antunes in the 65th minute really tested Luís Gustavo Dantas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 69 minutes into the game, Raimundo Gerber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Gustavo Dantas. Raimundo Gerber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Charles Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Dantas having to interfere. In the 86th minute Charles Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Gustavo Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Dantas having to interfere. Nilmar Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Nóbrega having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Quixabinha SC's Erivaldo Dantas got a free kick in the 96th minute. Quixabinha SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
