After some careless play in the Caitinga defense, Alberto Antunes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natã Pires. The Caitinga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natã Pires should have stopped the shot. Marco Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marco Favoretto hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Adriano Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Remo Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Antunes in the 14th minute of play forced Caitinga's goalkeeper Natã Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Danilo Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Marco Favoretto managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. A collision led to Caitinga getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Décio Rosado hit a great ball. The supporters of Caitinga booed when Assituas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Coutinho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Caitinga's Marco Favoretto shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Moreira in the 30th minute of play forced Caitinga's goalkeeper Natã Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Adriano Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Assituas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Donato might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remo Coutinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Donato ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marco Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitório Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Coutinho having to interfere. Olívio Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doni Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doni Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Doni Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Antunes to make the kick off. Marco Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marco Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remo Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Marco Favoretto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remo Coutinho having to make a save. During the 68th minute of the match Adriano Moreira completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Adriano Moreira a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Marco Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Natã Pires successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 95 minutes of play Caitinga's Doni Gerber was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 played minutes Caitinga got a freekick which was hit by Doni Gerber.
