Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when João Paulo Fantini got the match started through his kick off. Faustão Urbano hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Nildo Quirino's late challenge caught a Assituas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Quirino helped the player get up and apologised. Luís Fabiano Lago placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 15th minute, Pedro Luís Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remo Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Carioca in the 16th minute of the match. Remo Coutinho came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Sapiranga's João Paulo Fantini. But to his dismay, João Paulo Fantini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Remo Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Fantini in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Atlético Sapiranga booed when Assituas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Paulo Fantini's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Olívio Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Assituas FC's Remo Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Carioca in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Assituas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Martins to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Diniz made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Adriano Moreira sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute Raimundo Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Coutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Olívio Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olívio Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match Atlético Sapiranga got a corner. Assituas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Faustão Urbano ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Faustão Urbano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Remo Coutinho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Assituas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Sapiranga were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes of play, Atlético Sapiranga's Raimundo Carioca made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo Coutinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raimundo Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Remo Coutinho made a huge save. 68 minutes in the game, João Paulo Fantini fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Remo Coutinho having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Raimundo Carioca sped through Assituas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remo Coutinho. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Fantini in the 75th minute of play forced Assituas FC's goalkeeper Remo Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Atlético Sapiranga's João Paulo Fantini in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Assituas FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Pedro Luís Alves fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Assituas FC's protests and gave Pedro Luís Alves a yellow card for diving instead. After 87th play minutes Raimundo Carioca shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Remo Coutinho and just under the crossbar into goal. When João Paulo Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Atlético Sapiranga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Fantini couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Assituas FC's goalkeeper Remo Coutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Carioca. Alberto Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton Diniz having to interfere. Adriano Moreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 100th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton Diniz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Moreira ran back to his position shaking his head.
