With his leg Edvaldo Mota managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Aroazes's Washington Campidelis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Sampaio in the 13th minute of play forced KoFo Fornecedor de Craque's goalkeeper Edvaldo Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edgard Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Vieira in the 19th minute of play. Washington Campidelis had several of the KoFo Fornecedor de Craque's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Edvaldo Mota as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber Cearense during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, KoFo Fornecedor de Craque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Cearense to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Ronaldinho Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KoFo Fornecedor de Craque and the Aroazes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ian Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidnei Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Mota prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KoFo Fornecedor de Craque's Edvaldo Mota proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save KoFo Fornecedor de Craque from getting a goal against them. If Edgard Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Sampaio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Mota didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Washington Campidelis went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Washington Campidelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the KoFo Fornecedor de Craque defense, Edgard Sampaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edvaldo Mota. The KoFo Fornecedor de Craque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edvaldo Mota should have stopped the shot. When Diogo Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the KoFo Fornecedor de Craque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diogo Paraibano couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute Sidnei Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidnei Vieira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ian Velasco came out and tried to block the shot, but Sidnei Vieira slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 73rd minute. Washington Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgard Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Edvaldo Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aroazes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
