Rio Branco Esporte Clube's Mazhar Beren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Messias in the 19th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Serrania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st match minute, Rio Branco Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardino Hurko to maneuver through the defense. After 43 played minutes Rio Branco Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Quintal. After 44 minutes, Lorenz Schugens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rio Branco Esporte Clube and the Serrania players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mazhar Beren firmly grabbed it by the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Almir Messias made a kick off. Mazhar Beren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Cavalcante in the 56th minute of play. Lorenz Schugens kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Mathias Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Antunes having to interfere. Serrania's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Moura threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rio Branco Esporte Clube's Rui Medeiros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Olívio Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Quintal's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Serrania's Cláudio Carvalho got a free kick in the 90th minute. Elias Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serrania walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
