Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valdo Zanette got the match started through his kick off. Benjamin Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Corrêa in the 4th minute of play. Valenca's Dito Marinho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Walmyr Santos in the 14 minute of the game. Valenca's Almir Koehler got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Zanette in the 22nd minute of play. Almir Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Benjamin Veiga made a huge save. In the 26th minute Tomé Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Almir Koehler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benjamin Veiga firmly grabbed it by the left post. 37 minutes into the game, Valenca's Almir Koehler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Veiga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rosquita's Benjamin Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernão Moreno in the 44th minute of play. Yan Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Rosquita booed when Valenca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Valenca's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 64 minutes into the game, when Vancho Aronov put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Rosquita a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Magno Camargo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Valenca's Yan Arósio. 2-1. Yan Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Mattos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Vargas in the 71st minute of play forced Valenca's goalkeeper Yan Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernão Moreno couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Valenca players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
