Basílio Moura scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexsandro Ramalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Álvaro Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Gerber in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Praiao SC booed when Costa AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aloísio Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexsandro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Aloísio Braga hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute Basílio Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexsandro Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Vasconcelos was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Delfim Vander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Delfim Vander really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Allan Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Ramalho having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, José Paulo Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Praiao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Carvalho came free, but Alexsandro Ramalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexsandro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Varela, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 57th play minute Basílio Moura came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alexsandro Ramalho. 1-3. Donato Gaúcho hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Vicente de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Ramalho having to interfere. Alexsandro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Costa AD's zone, Delfim Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Delfim Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando da Silva in the 90th minute of play forced Costa AD's goalkeeper Álvaro Vasconcelos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Costa AD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
