Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Melancias's Elói Zanette started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mathias Borges scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Válbson Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute, Elói Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Eliézer de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Caricaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliézer de Senna couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Caricaca's Artur Lopes got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute of the match Percy da Costa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giovani Novaes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mathias Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Eliézer de Senna made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Melancias's Válbson Lima tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliézer de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Válbson Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eliézer de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caricaca's Eliézer de Senna got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, João Carlos Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute of the match Silvério Vidal shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Válbson Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Eliézer de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válbson Lima having to interfere. Válbson Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mathias Borges's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Caricaca's Eliézer de Senna made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Válbson Lima was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Mathias Borges put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Válbson Lima. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcelinho Castro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Caricaca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Marcelinho Castro hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Elói Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melancias's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giovani Novaes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 84 minutes, Elói Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melancias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elói Zanette was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Elói Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer de Senna took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Válbson Lima. Válbson Lima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The Melancias fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Caricaca were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
