Ulisses Mendonça hit a great ball. The supporters of Serceira SC booed when Caturama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Fabiano Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Serafim Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serceira SC's goalkeeper Vágner Meirelles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vágner Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oséias Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Meirelles having to interfere. A hard shot 36 in the game by Tomás Andrade from a close distance when the talented Vágner Meirelles managed to make a qualified save. Serceira SC's players were relieved. Serceira SC's Vágner Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséias Gaúcho in the 38th minute of play. Inácio da Silveira came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Serceira SC's Samuca Cruz. But to his dismay, Samuca Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 44 minutes into the match, Serceira SC's goalkeeper Vágner Meirelles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Andrade. Tomás Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vágner Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oséias Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Caturama players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Serceira SC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oséias Gaúcho to make the kick off. Felippe Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felippe Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Felippe Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Serceira SC's zone, Tomás Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vágner Meirelles came out of the goal and Tomás Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 55 minutes into the match, Serceira SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Gaúcho came free, but Vágner Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes Caturama got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Velasco. Inácio da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuca Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Oséias Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Oséias Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vágner Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Inácio da Silveira made a huge save. After 81 played minutes Caturama got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Arósio. Serceira SC's Vágner Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Andrade in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Caturama's Oséias Gaúcho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vágner Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tomás Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vágner Meirelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. Serceira SC's Vágner Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Andrade in the 95th minute of play.
