In the 3rd minute Zé Paulo Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheus Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Juan de Moraes kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, one of Parangaba SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Parangaba SS. Pedro Luís Sena succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 14th playminute. If André Luís de Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Zé Paulo Linares sped through Zoro AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paulo Velloso. 24 minutes into the match, Parangaba SS's goal looked a bit too open when Adrianinho Abreu came free, but Sílvio Luís Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Luís Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zoro AD booed when Parangaba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Mineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 36 minutes, Zé Paulo Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parangaba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paulo Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Zé Paulo Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parangaba SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Matheus Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Betinho Freitas hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Juan de Moraes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Matheus Gonçalves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Matheus Gonçalves took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Velloso. Paulo Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adrianinho Abreu was the one to do the kick off. If Pedro Luís Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Luís Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís Moreno having to interfere. In the 61st minute Adrianinho Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Luís Moreno having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Zoro AD's zone, Matheus Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Velloso came out of the goal and Matheus Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luís Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matheus Gonçalves in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrianinho Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Sílvio Luís Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute of the match Betinho Freitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Luís Moreno skillfully saved the ball. Adrianinho Abreu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Luís Moreno. Sílvio Luís Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Parangaba SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
