Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Severino Paraíba started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Taquarucu FC booed when Torto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jardel Cardozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 7 in the game by José Paulo Ferreira from a close distance when the talented Francisco Almeida managed to make a qualified save. Taquarucu FC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Taquarucu FC's zone, Severino Paraíba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Almeida came out of the goal and Severino Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Taquarucu FC's Naldo Velasco in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Torto's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Taquarucu FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Valério Koehler hit a great ball. Severino Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Almeida having to interfere. If Naldo Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenílson Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edson de Souza struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. When Arí Marques fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Torto's protests and gave Arí Marques a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Torto! Jorginho Tinoco shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Naldo Velasco made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Torto got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Cardozo. Lenílson Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Velasco in the 52nd minute of the match. Francisco Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Severino Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francisco Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Paulo Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Dé Ramalho hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Dé Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torto's Lenílson Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Naldo Velasco in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edson de Souza got free with Lenílson Abreu in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Naldo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Lenílson Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Torto supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Taquarucu FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Taquarucu FC.
