Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Racionais FC's Mané Soeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Denílson dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Soeiro in the 7th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Cauarru got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Matos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Soeiro in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th minute José Vítor Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Didi de Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denílson dos Santos. Cauarru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Didi de Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Denílson dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Mané Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denílson dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Jaime Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Cauarru's Adriano de Barros got a free kick in the 39th minute. Racionais FC's attack was well implemented in the 42nd minute, but when Mané Soeiro was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Racionais FC's Nelsinho Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ismael Bezerra to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Bezerra in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mané Soeiro in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denílson dos Santos saved Cauarru from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Soeiro in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Cauarru's Adriano de Barros got a free kick in the 60th minute. Mané Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson dos Santos having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano de Barros got free with Silvério Coelho in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi de Carvalho in the 66th minute of play forced Cauarru's goalkeeper Denílson dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Denílson dos Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi de Carvalho in the 71st minute of play. Silvério Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Bezerra in the 73rd minute of the match. Racionais FC's Silvério Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Bezerra in the 78th minute of play. In the 85th minute Mané Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breno de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Bebeto Penha fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cauarru's protests and gave Bebeto Penha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Bebeto Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Didi de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racionais FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi de Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denílson dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Racionais FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
