The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauro Tande showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 12th minute Wágner Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sílvio Luís Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Denílson dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Cauarru's Adriano de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lauro Tande. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. In the 37th minute Nestor Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson dos Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauarru's Denílson dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Cavalcante in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Cauarru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ismael Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Fernandes in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denílson dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cafu de Carvalho's late challenge caught a No name's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Cafu de Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Fernandes to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Wágner Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the No name and the Cauarru players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cauarru booed when No name was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Bezerra in the 57th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Nestor Teles rounded Cauarru's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. With a little luck, Cauarru's Denílson dos Santos got control of the ball when Egídio Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Luís Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sílvio Luís Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Denílson dos Santos made a huge save. After 69 played minutes Cauarru got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Arce. After a rather tough play, Cauarru's José Vítor Arce got a free kick in the 70th minute. When the match was over No name could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cauarru throughout the match.
