THE EXPENDABLES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marianos EC the free kick. Geovânio Goiano hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Marianos EC's João Augusto Goiano got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind THE EXPENDABLES FC's goalkeeper Ruy Coelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Falcão Silveira hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Matos hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, Marianos EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Geovânio Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruy Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Cido Guerra struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Durval Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for THE EXPENDABLES FC. João Augusto Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marianos EC's Durval Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Marianos EC from getting a goal against them. João Paulo Zanette hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dedé Toledo to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Marianos EC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Sena. Cido Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Nascimento having to interfere. If Geovânio Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Guerra in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to THE EXPENDABLES FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Conrado Simões hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Eurico Matorin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and THE EXPENDABLES FC's Ruy Coelho didn't even have to move. If João Augusto Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Augusto Goiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ruy Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Anderson Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Marianos EC booed when THE EXPENDABLES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, João Augusto Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Durval Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84thth minute of the game Geovânio Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marianos EC's Durval Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dedé Toledo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruy Coelho came out and tried to block the shot, but Dedé Toledo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 91st minute. Marianos EC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
