Eugênio Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 13 played minutes Predadores Fatais FC got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Loyola. 18 minutes into the match, Predadores Fatais FC's goalkeeper Osmar Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elder Gomes. Eugênio Loyola scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladimir Moura, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Osmar Arruda made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Elder Gomes sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Morgado's zone, Gil Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Moura came out of the goal and Gil Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gil Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Loyola in the 44th minute of play forced Morgado's goalkeeper Vladimir Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio Loyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osmar Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Gomes in the 52nd minute of play. If Elder Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elder Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Percival Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osmar Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Travassos in the 70th minute of the match. When Rubens Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morgado's protests and gave Rubens Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Morgado:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Predadores Fatais FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Vladimir Moura, was totally fooled by Predadores Fatais FC's Emílio Miranda, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 77th minute, Predadores Fatais FC's Eugênio Loyola ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimir Moura. Vladimir Moura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The supporters of Morgado booed when Predadores Fatais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elói Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Predadores Fatais FC's zone, Percival Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Arruda came out of the goal and Percival Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd match minute, Predadores Fatais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Percival Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Predadores Fatais FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Duarte. Osmar Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elder Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute of the match Morgado got a corner. Predadores Fatais FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roger Prata ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eurico Pombal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Osmar Arruda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Eurico Pombal sped through Predadores Fatais FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osmar Arruda. After a rather tough play, Morgado's Antônio de Senna got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Gil Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Moura having to make a save. After having played for 97 minutes, Gil Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predadores Fatais FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Eugênio Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Predadores Fatais FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Predadores Fatais FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
