After some careless play in the Tottenham Hotspur FC defense, Gugu Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Sanches. The Tottenham Hotspur FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Sanches should have stopped the shot. If Tomé Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcel Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luiz Paulo Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Tottenham Hotspur FC's goalkeeper André Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gugu Lara. Conrado Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Paulo Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th match minute, AFX Capital was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorival de Lima to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Luiz Paulo Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gugu Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute, Marcel Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tottenham Hotspur FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Tottenham Hotspur FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. AFX Capital were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
