Anselmo Tasso came out of the goal and Carlinhos Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manoel Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caitete SS's Manoel Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Jacinto in the 10th minute of play. When Rafinha Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caitete SS's protests and gave Rafinha Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. Rafinha Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mucuitu AD's goalkeeper Anselmo Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlinhos Teles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Anselmo Tasso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Décio Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Tasso having to interfere. Mucuitu AD's Anselmo Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Mucuitu AD from getting a goal against them. Décio Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafinha Fontes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Aloísio Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd match minute, Mucuitu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandinho Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Décio Prado might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlinhos Teles was the one to do the kick off. Caitete SS's Manoel Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Jacinto in the 52nd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Frédson Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caitete SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Décio Prado came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Caitete SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Décio Prado couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the game, Caitete SS's Carlinhos Teles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Tasso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Carlinhos Teles might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlinhos Teles ran back to his position shaking his head. When Alfredo Porto fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caitete SS's protests and gave Alfredo Porto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Caitete SS's Alfredo Porto got a free kick in the 71st minute. André Luiz Félix's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Gonçalves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emílio Peixoto got free with Manoel Gonçalves in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manoel Gonçalves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Coelho in the 75th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlinhos Teles in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manoel Gonçalves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Anselmo Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Teles in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mucuitu AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfredo Porto was slow to take the kick. During this time Caitete SS's players had a chance to rest. Marcelo Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
