Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Iuri Terra started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's Teodoro Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Belmiro Secco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 5 minutes, Zé Carlos Quaresma mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monumento Sports and the Curiango players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Zé Carlos Quaresma hit a great ball. Teodoro Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teodoro Abraão in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belmiro Secco saved Curiango from getting behind. Hortêncio Sá hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute, Zé Carlos Quaresma fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Curiango's Iuri Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Adalmo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Décio Silva. Ronaldinho Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adalmo Lopes went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute, Monumento Sports's Zé Carlos Quaresma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Teodoro Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos Quaresma to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Carlos Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Belmiro Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Monumento Sports getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dida Tande hit a great ball. Ronaldinho Botelho came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Curiango's Adalmo Lopes. But to his dismay, Adalmo Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. A collision led to Curiango getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gugu Donato hit a great ball. Adalmo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Botelho having to interfere. Iuri Terra got in the 72nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ronaldinho Botelho handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Ronaldinho Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iuri Terra in the 74th minute of play. Iuri Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Botelho having to interfere. Adalmo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ronaldinho Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monumento Sports's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Botelho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Mauro Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Iuri Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Curiango booed when Monumento Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalmo Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Décio Silva fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monumento Sports's protests and gave Décio Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Décio Silva got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 89th play minute Adalmo Lopes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldinho Botelho. 1-3. Monumento Sports's Ronaldinho Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iuri Terra in the 94th minute of play. Iuri Terra might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldinho Botelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iuri Terra ran back to his position shaking his head. The Monumento Sports supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Curiango's performance. The match ended with a win for Curiango.
