In the 17thth minute of the game Bruninho Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bezerrinha's Luiz Paulo Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alan Garcia's late challenge caught a Turibai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Alan Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bruninho Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Turibai's goalkeeper Beto Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bezerrinha's Luiz Paulo Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Fontes in the 34th minute of play. Rafinha Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Dantas having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Natã Britto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafinha Barbosa in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beto Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mathias Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turibai's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Lira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 minutes, Emílio Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Turibai and the Bezerrinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Turibai getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emílio Diniz hit a great ball. Luiz Paulo Lira made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Mathias Fontes sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th match minute, Bezerrinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes Bezerrinha got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Sá. Rafinha Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beto Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafinha Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd match minute, Turibai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Quadros to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Turibai booed when Bezerrinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Paulo Lira having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Turibai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan de Barros to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bezerrinha getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Adalberto Moura hit a great ball. In the 91st minute of the match Artur Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Dantas skillfully saved the ball. Bezerrinha's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
