Poiungu EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Eduardo Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Antônio Carlos Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Poiungu EC's Valdo Mota in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Porco Louco's Luís Fábio de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Mota in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Valdo Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luiz Ferraz got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Luís Fábio de Andrade handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Porco Louco's zone, André Luiz Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio de Andrade came out of the goal and André Luiz Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Mota in the 41st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Valdo Mota sped through Porco Louco's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Fábio de Andrade. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Antônio Carlos Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Nicolas Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Mota's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Luís Fábio de Andrade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Reinaldo de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Porco Louco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Poiungu EC's attack was well implemented in the 75th minute, but when André Luiz Ferraz was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. When Antônio Carlos Neiva, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nicolas Mumbach was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Porco Louco fans cheered their team off the field, for while Poiungu EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
