Egídio Brasil's late challenge caught a Porco Louco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egídio Brasil helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Porco Louco booed when Petrovina EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Antônio Carlos Neiva sped through Petrovina EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Augusto Falcão. Petrovina EC's João Augusto Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Alvarenga in the 16th minute of play. João Augusto Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Cléber Abraão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luís Fábio de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antônio Carlos Neiva in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Augusto Falcão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luís Eduardo Paes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petrovina EC's João Augusto Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Paes in the 30th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Porco Louco's corner Raphael Souza fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Augusto Falcão quite easily take care of the ball. Antônio Carlos Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. João Augusto Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play, Petrovina EC's Tião Ribeiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio de Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Claudinho Baiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Augusto Falcão having to make a save. In the 58th minute Tião Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Porco Louco's Antônio Carlos Neiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Porco Louco's Luís Fábio de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tião Ribeiro in the 63rd minute of play. Claudinho Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Petrovina EC defense, Reinaldo de Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Augusto Falcão. The Petrovina EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Augusto Falcão should have stopped the shot. Luís Fábio de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tião Ribeiro in the 76th minute of the match. When Claudinho Montenegro fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porco Louco's protests and gave Claudinho Montenegro a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Porco Louco got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Montenegro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Ribeiro in the 79th minute of play forced Porco Louco's goalkeeper Luís Fábio de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Cléber Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porco Louco made a substitution. Emanuel Nunes replaced Luís Eduardo Paes. Cléber Abraão hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Porco Louco defense, Hermínio Tande kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Fábio de Andrade. The Porco Louco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Fábio de Andrade should have stopped the shot. Luís Fábio de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Emanuel Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrovina EC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Porco Louco had controlled the match.
