Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Oriental's Serginho Tróia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Sandrinho de Lara fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oriental's protests and gave Sandrinho de Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Oriental's Sandrinho de Lara got a free kick in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Bruninho Palmeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chicão Camargo. Oriental's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bruninho Palmeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 15 minutes into the game, Tibúrcio Paraense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acaa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oriental the free kick. The supporters of Oriental booed when Acaa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibúrcio Paraense didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Acaa's Wiliam Ramos got a free kick in the 18th minute. Sabino da Cunha acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Emerson Xavier. Fausto Diniz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Sabino da Cunha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Afonsinho Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bruninho Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Acaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruninho Palmeira couldn't finish the play. Chicão Camargo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonsinho Leite went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Afonsinho Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
52 minutes into the match, Oriental's goal looked a bit too open when Bruninho Palmeira came free, but Chicão Camargo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chicão Camargo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Palmeira in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 59th minute Maurinho Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonsinho Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Chicão Camargo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oriental's Chicão Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruninho Palmeira in the 65th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bruninho Palmeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Camargo was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Chicão Camargo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Afonsinho Leite sent off a good shot on target. Afonsinho Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Camargo having to interfere. The Oriental fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Acaa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
